Arklite
A downloadable game
Thousands of years into the distant future, humanity lies on the brink of extinction. Through the fallout of war and conflict, the Earth has been reborn. A mysterious life force energy called the Arklite now imbues the Earth and has transformed the once hospitable cradle into a chaotic and twisted primal world. The climate has become extreme. Plants and animals have become deadly and ferocious. Humanity no longer has a home.
However, even with all their strife, humanity's tenacity persisted. And so, seemingly through the course of divine intervention, the Arklite gave humanity one last chance.
A select chosen few, known as Drifters, imbued with the Arklite's guidance, have emerged as humanity's final hope for survival. The legend states that the Drifters will one day heal the world their ancestors once tarnished, redeeming humanity for its past sins, and discovering the path to the Arkcenter - humanity's last refuge.
Arklite is a science-fantasy tabletop role-playing game. Players assume the role of a Drifter, a human with the capability to manipulate and wield the mystical energy known as the Arklite. With these abilities, the Drifters must rid Nuhaven, the last continent, of corruptive landmarks - which threaten to annihilate the already dwindling human population.
This game was made as part of Zinequest 3, and is Forged in the Dark.
